I come here to see my girl each month (I work out of town),it's in a prime location as there is a Walmart nearby and many other stores. You don't get a view of the beach (as your facing the side of the beach),but you can walk out the front lobby and see the beach across the beach. Everyone who works there are very courteous and nice,but they did remember me after not going for 6 months.
The food for breakfast was just okay. We usually have a way of making coffee in our hotel rooms. This place only makes coffee where you check in. I will say that the coffee was really good. The rooms are large and have a balcony, and the price was very reasonable.
Upon arrival the older gentleman i can't remember his name was very kind and polite. He was such a gracious host because this was a busy weekend. We didn't have any issues with the room it was perfect and very clean for us. No issues with the price it was perfect no issues with sleeping it was perfect for us anyway. As I stated it was a lot of events going on this particular weekend. Our room had a great and amazing view of the beach to which the hotel is within walking distance about a few minutes from the beach. Overall a great experience from start to finish. Would stay here again if im in town. One other thing is that I'm not a big breakfast person so there wasn't a lot to offer for breakfast just grab and go and that was fine with me. But there is a Golden Corral next door for food and other great eatery nearby. Just to let you know about the breakfast if you was expecting the full meal deal. But it was great for me because of how light I eat. Otherwise a perfect spot
Updated older hotel. Conveniently located near cruise ports. Lots of shopping option nearby. We were on the bottom floor. Good Lord. Very very loud stomping feet above us. Loud voices outside our room door. So….not real sound proof. Very light but nice breakfast. Great front desk guy when we checked in on the evening of Dec. 7
Perfect little getaway room! Great customer service. Young man up front went above and beyond great customer service. Very affordable! I definitely will stay there again on my next visit to Galveston!
I don't understand the bad reviews. It's inexpensive, clean, quiet, across the street from the beach.... Indoor pool.... Free Continental breakfast. Need was comfortable, pillows were great. Sitting out in the balcony was great while winding down.
We had 12 people and a couple rooms here it was nice its not a full blown Hilton by any means but the rooms where clean service was good and the staff was friendly the continental breakfast was included with the price and decent. We parked vehicles here for a cruise everything was smooth and whent as planned we will be back again next trip out of galveston when we have the whole family. P.s. they had some great sunrise views in front of the hotel if you just walk up by the business in front of them. And right across the street from the sea wall
I don’t know why this hotel has bad reviews? We booked 4 day stay at cheap rates, approx $65 per night. Clean room, pool area and breakfast area. We arrived and got a gift bag two waters and two Lorna dune cookie snacks! Can walk across to beach, parking under neath hotel, outback and in front. You can avoid parking fees by walking across street to beach. Breakfast was great! Hot tea, bagels, yogurt, cereal, muffins and assorted toppings. Plenty ice and filtered water. The help super nice. Plenty of pros to stay here and affordable. Only con, get more luggage racks for us elderly.
